Junior Video Producer/Maker

We’re looking for a versatile, ambitious junior to help make us make outstanding video for corporate clients, taking part in all stages of the production process and working across film, animation and motion graphics.

The key requirement of the role is to help create content but it will involve a mix of activities, from helping organise and conduct shoots, making edits and liaising with clients, to some general administrative support.

Although a junior position this is a broad role and you should relish the variety, having a direct input on the work of the agency and wanting to develop to have ownership of projects.

Core skills

• Proven participation in commercial/professional projects
• Confident on set: inc. with basic camera work and lighting
• Competent post production: including editing, colour grading
• Strong creative and artistic instincts with a good eye
• Knowledge of wider Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop etc) a plus

Primary responsibilities:

Pre-production

• Turn briefs into practical plans: treatments, shot lists, schedules, call sheets, risk, permits, releases.
• Source crew/freelancers; request quotes/POs; track spends.
• Help align stakeholders: timelines, deliverables, review dates

On set

• Help run shoots: keep the day moving, manage permissions and paperwork, liaise with crew/clients.
• Support lighting and camera setups as needed; operate B-cam under direction when appropriate.
• Data wrangling: offload/verify media, organise folders, backups, create proxies/dailies.

Editing & post

• Cut straightforward pieces in Premiere Pro end-to-end (assembly → feedback rounds → delivery)
• Light graphics (like lower thirds, lockups)
• Basic colour and audio tidy, captions/subtitles, QC, exports, versioning

Also:

Motion and Animation projects

  • Help scope small animation/mograph jobs; prepare project packs (script, style frames, brand kit, layered assets, specs).
  • Brief and coordinate freelancers (animators/illustrators/VO/sound); run reviews; triage notes; control scope and rounds.
  • QC renders (fps, alpha, colour, safe areas) and share versions with clients
  • Make minor amends to completed projects in After Effects where appropriate (no heavy work)

Client & team comms

  • Join client reviews with a friendly, professional manner; present WIP edits clearly
  • Keep projects organised: tidy files, version control, notes and next steps.

You’ll bring:

  • Approx 3+ years’ experience (agency, production company, in-house or freelance)
  • Calm, clear communicator (must have excellent written & spoken English)
  • Premiere Pro confidence; AE and other Creative Cloud a bonus
  • Ideas and enthusiasm, curiosity for new formats and platforms
  • Sound judgment, tidy files, and an eye for story
  • A sense of humour!
