EXPLAINER VIDEO

Explainers are most commonly used for:

  • New product launches
  • Service demonstrations
  • Strategic or vision dissemination
  • Stakeholder communication

What is an explainer video?

Explainer videos can be live action with motion graphics, pure animation or a combination of multiple video production techniques. Explainers are most commonly used to tell either employees or customers about a new or complex product or service. They can also be used to effectively sell in a new strategy or idea to stakeholders or other parts of the business, possibly in a different part of the world.

Explainer videos work best when they’re kept short and concise, so they’re easily digestible. This may mean having a series of shorter films rather than one long one. The advantage of using video to explain something is the ease of transmission and shareability. It also controls the message you want to communicate, ensures consistency and can humanise and simplify what may seem complicated. Films like these can be really valuable brand assets which capture the spirit and tone of voice of the brand in a concise, succinct way.
