Despite last week’s snow and ensuing London transport chaos we hosted our first breakfast talk at our Trampery offices on Wednesday 28th February, kicking off a series of events designed to help our clients get better value from their video spend.
The event covered three aspects of production – our founder Nick Coombes explained the importance of providing a thorough brief to the production team and why explaining your goals and audience makes such a difference. Producer Rory Boswell discussed how to maximise the opportunities a shoot provides to create a library of content and how to make the most of the material for social media. Finally Joe Peecock, our Editor/Animator, demonstrated how simple post production techniques can transform mainstays of corporate communications like talking heads without blowing budgets.
The guests all had a variety of experience of working with video and the Q&A session revealed just how little some know about how the production process works and the options available. We also discussed how much clients are used to prescribing what video they want, without understanding the other, and often more effective, video formats that could be used and how too much is never enough when it comes to providing the creative team with information about your project.
